Sharing Data in Agriculture at the OGC Meeting in Leuven

The 111th OGC Technical Committee meeting will host a session on sharing data in agriculture. This session is organised by the Agriculture DWG of the Open Geospatial Consortium.

Date & time: June 24th, 1:00 PM – 4:15 PM (Pressroom)

Venue: THE HOUSE OF THE PROVINCE OF FLEMISH BRABANT, Provincieplein 1, 3010 Leuven, Belgium

Goals: The main goals of this session are to:

  • build relation between different research projects and industrial partners,
  • build relation between the agriculture community and different standardisation activities of the OGC in IoT, Earth observation, metadata and semantics,
  • start defining the precision farming pilot to be developed under the umbrella of the Agriculture DWG.

Programme: There will be a series of 5-10 minute presentations of different standardisation efforts. The last hour of the session will be allocated for collaborative definition of potential test beds to be performed under the umbrella of the OGC.

Call for presentations: If you have any interesting topic you would like to present during this session, please send your short bio, a title and brief description of your presentation to Sarka Horakova (horakova@wirelessinfo.cz). Acceptance of your presentation will be notified via email. A preparatory teleconferences will be organised in order to fine-tune the session and your presentations.
