Participation: The capacity has already been reached, and it is no longer possible to accept further registrations.
Refreshments: Complimentary refreshments will be provided for both days. Morning, lunch, dinner.

Participants are invited to join a group snack dinner on Monday evening in the A101 room, providing an informal opportunity to connect with peers.

Objective of the Event

The GeoAI Camp aims to unite professionals and researchers to work collaboratively on advancing the distributed concept of Geospatial Artificial Intelligence (GeoAI). Over the two-day event, participants will engage in:

  • Keynote presentations and idea pitches.
  • Team-based and interest-driven collaborative work.
  • Presentation of results and discussions on the next steps.

Monday, 27 January 2025

  • 09:00–10:00: Registration and Coffee&WelcomeSnacks at RICAIP Testbed Prague, Building B, Ground Floor, entry “B1” (main gateway)
  • 10:00–10:15: Introduction: Goals of the event and organizational details by Karel Charvat (Plan4all) and David Pesek.
  • 10:15–10:30: An introduction to the Adra ecosystem by Philip Piatkiewicz (ADRA).
  • 10:30–10:45: A Brief History of AI and GeoAI by Karel Charvat (Plan4all).
  • 10:45–11:00: Technologies for GeoAI by Pavel Kordik (FIT CVUT).
  • 11:00–12:00: Pitches on Technological Solutions (5 minutes each):
    • JackDaw by Karel Charvat and Runar Bergheim.
    • ALIANCE Weather Forecasting by Petr Simanek.
    • ALIANCE Sentinel-2 Cloud Removal by Petr Simanek.

  • 18:00: Group Dinner

Tuesday, 28 January 2025

  • 09:00–09:30: Registration and Coffee, ATTENTION, entry “A1” !!! different from the 1st day registration (room: A-303, Building A, 3rd Floor)
  • 09:30–14:00: Team-Based Collaborative Work and Discussions (coffee break included as needed)
  • 14:00–16:00: Presentation of Results
    • Each team will have 10 minutes to present their outcomes.
    • This session will also be streamed to registered participants (link has been sent to all registered participants).
  • 16:00–16:30: Closing Session and Next Steps by Karel Charvat.
  • 17:00 CLOSING Group Dinner

Key Instructions

  1. Registration on 27 January 2025 – entrance B1 – please follow the signs/arrows to RICAIP
  2. Online Access: links will be provided to selected registered participants for attending the online segments.
  3. Collaboration: Be prepared to engage actively in team-based discussions and technical collaboration.
    1. Centers of gravity:
      1. RICAIP, building “B” :: introductory keynotes, from here you will be GUIDED to “A” building (same address),
      2. A-101 :: Food AND JackDAW,
      3. A-102 :: policy focus,
      4. A-303 :: 6-7 group nests to discuss and collaborate,
      5. A-230 :: Coordinating team nest
  4. Registration on 28 January 2025 – entrance A1 – please follow the signs.
  5. Coffee&Snacks (day 2): will be provided in the 101 room, for the whole day, at breakfast, lunch and dinner time.
